On December 14, 2015, PAYSA Co-Founders Lisa Clapper and Steve Walicki attended the Phillies Charities Holiday Party held at the Diamond Club in Citizens Bank Park. PAYSA was one of many charitable organizations chosen to receive a $10,000 donation from Phillies Charities, Inc. in 2015. Each organization was recognized at the event which was attended by many members of the Phillies organization, including most of the ownership group.
PAYSA is very grateful to the Phillies organization for being selected as a donation recipient. The $10,000 will be used by PAYSA to provide financial assistance for families in need, to make continued improvements to the 48th & Woodland playground we call home, and to help offset the costs of needed baseball equipment as we enter our third year.
Many thanks to PAYSA Board Member and Phillies employee, Leila Graham-Willis, for submitting PAYSA as her candidate organization to Phillies Charities, Inc......and for joining us at the event!
The Phillie Phanatic stopped by 48th & Woodland for a visit on May 16, 2015.
The PAYSA Inaugural Season Opening Day was a great success! Many thanks to all who helped make it happen and everyone who showed up for the Opening Ceremony. Special thanks to State Senator Anthony Hardy Williams for participating and providing such a profound message about the transformative value of the diversity of our nieghborhood.
Three college juniors, Grace Chimel, Alia Dixon, and Kate MacQueen, reached out to PAYSA to make a video for their Genres of Media Production class at Temple University on an all-volunteer youth sports organization. They came out to the playground on Wednesday April 23, 2014 to shoot some video for their project. Many thanks to those PAYSA families & coaches who agreed to be interviewed. The girls did a fantastic job with their project which can be viewed by clicking here.
