We are thrilled to announced that registration for PAYSA Fall In-House Baseball is NOW OPEN!
You may now CLICK HERE to register your player(s) for Fall Ball.
Fall Ball will run from the first week of September, with Opening Day on September 9th, through the last week of October. This fall, our goal will be to divide into five (5) divisions based upon age and playing experience:
PeeWee - introductory baseball-style activities intended for players approximately 3 and 4 years old.
TeeBall - introductory team-oriented baseball with hitting off of tees intended for players approximately 5 and 6 years old.
Rookie - introductory team baseball with hitting off of pitching machines intended for players approximately 7 and 8 years old.
Minors - intermediate team baseball with live hitting off of pitching machines with an introduction to kid pitching intended for players with some amount of baseball experience.
Majors - an advanced level of organized baseball with the goal of transitioning players from hitting off of pitching machines to player pitch, intended for players with advanced baseball experience.
We will be using the same May 1st age cutoff in the Fall that we used in the Spring. No PAYSA player who played in the Spring will be considered "aged out" this Fall.
Across all levels of the PAYSA In-House program, age continues to be the primary determinant for which division our players are assigned to. However, this season players will also be rostered into these leagues based upon experience, playing ability, and the spacing and competitive balancing needs of the league as a whole.
Practices will officially begin the first full week of September, and Opening Day will be Saturday, September 9th.
Volunteers!
Last year, for the first time, we asked all families to volunteer for at least one job with PAYSA, and you all rose to the challenge fabulously. IN 2023, ALL FAMILIES WILL ONCE AGAIN BE REQUIRED TO VOLUNTEER FOR ONE OR MORE ROLES. No baseball experience? No problem. We have many, many opportunities for folks who prefer volunteer jobs that require no baseball knowledge. We believe this requirement is essential to the sustainability of the league and the spirit of the PAYSA community.
Everyone volunteering as a coach or assistant coach will be required to submit clearances before practices begin.
Registration Deadline
WE PLAN TO CLOSE REGISTRATION ON AUGUST 13TH, OR WHEN ALL SPOTS ARE FILLED! Please register as soon as possible. We are expecting the league to fill up quickly this year and may not be able to accept late entrants. All practices and games will continue to be held at the fields at the 48th & Woodland Avenue Rec Center. PAYSA will not turn away any family who cannot pay the full registration fee. To be eligible for financial assistance you need to contact PAYSA before starting the registration process. Contact information is provided at the bottom of this page. All information provided/discussed will remain confidential.
Multiple Player Discounts
This season we will once again be offering discounts for families with multiple players in the league, as follows:

We ask that you take the time to read through the Matheny Manifesto and help make it a fundamental part of the Philadelphia Athletics Youth Sports Association.
