EXCITING NEWS: This season, we are excited to announce that the 7-12 age group will now be divided into three levels, as follows:
We are taking this step to ensure that all of our players are balanced in terms of age and skill-level, and no players will feel over- or under-whelmed by their baseball experience!
PRACTICE SCHEDULING: Additionally, in order to maximize our opportunities around field space, we will be staggering our practices as follows:
Practices will begin the week of March 27th, and Opening Day will be April 15th.
WE PLAN TO CLOSE REGISTRATION ON MARCH 10th, OR WHEN ALL SPOTS ARE FILLED! Please register as soon as possible. We are expecting the league to fill up quickly this year and may not be able to accept late entrants.
All practices and games will continue to be held at the fields at 48th & Woodland Avenue.
The 2023 Registration Fee will again be $85 per player. Multi-children discounts are provided and financial aid is available upon request.
On the registration page, you will be asked about siblings and evenings your child cannot practice. WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE REQUESTS MADE AFTER REGISTRATION. Please be sure to include any constraints when you register.
PAYSA works very hard to balance teams for age, ability, and gender; we believe that meeting new teammates and getting to know the entire PAYSA community is an important part of our mission. THEREFORE, WE ARE NOT ABLE TO HONOR REQUESTS OUTSIDE OF THOSE RELATED TO SIBLINGS, EVENING CONSTRAINTS, AND ADULTS WISHING TO COACH TOGETHER.
IMPORTANT DATES
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Once again, this year ALL PAYSA families are required to volunteer for one or more jobs. These can include serving as coach or assistant coach as well as other non-baseball roles. PAYSA is a 100% volunteer-run organization and we simply cannot continue running the league without more robust volunteer participation!
During the registration process, you will be asked if you have a preference for a particular job; if not, one may be assigned to you.
Thanks and we are excited for a great season! Please direct any questions to PAYSACommissioner@gmail.com

While the philosophy of the Mike Matheny Manifesto pertains primarily to the travel teams at PAYSA, the message is applicable across all youth sports.
We ask that you take the time to read through the Matheny Manifesto and help make it a fundamental part of the Philadelphia Athletics Youth Sports Association.
