REGISTRATION CAPS:

We have now had to go to waiting lists for four straight seasons. We therefore encourage you to register early to secure your spot as we continue to face space constraints at 48th & Woodland.

DIVISIONS:

This Fall, PAYSA In-House baseball will once again be divided into five (5) divisions based upon age and playing experience:

PeeWee - introductory baseball-style activities intended for players 3 and 4 years old. PeeWee teams meet once per week on Saturday morning.

TeeBall - introductory team-oriented tee-ball with practices and games intended for players 5 and 6 years old. Teeball teams practice one evening per week from 6pm to 7pm, and play one game per week on Saturdays.

Rookie - introductory team baseball with live hitting off of pitching machines intended for players 7 and 8 years old. Rookie teams practice one evening per week from 6pm to 7:30pm, and play one game per week on Friday evening or Saturday.

Minors - intermediate team baseball with live hitting off of pitching machines with introduction to kid pitching intended for players with some amount of baseball experience, for players 9 and 10 years old. Minors level teams practice one evening per week from 6pm to 7:30pm, and play one game per week on Friday evening or Saturday.

Majors - advance level of organized in-house baseball with the goal of transitioning players from hitting off of pitching machines and to player pitch, intended for players with advanced baseball experience, for players 11 and 12 years old. Majors level teams practice one evening per week from 7:15pm to 8:45pm, and play one game per week on Friday evening or Saturday.

The age cutoff date will be May 1st.

Practices will begin on Monday, March 16th and Opening Day will be Friday, April 10th.

We will reach out to all registrants in late February to solicit schedule conflicts and preferences, and hope to have teams set by early March.

Mike Matheny Manifesto

While the philosophy of the Mike Matheny Manifesto pertains primarily to the travel teams at PAYSA, the message is applicable across all youth sports.
