PRE-SEASON CAMP FOR PLAYERS AND COACHES

This season, PAYSA is excited to partner with Shaun Ellis and the SE Elites to offer a one day pre-season camp on March 15thfor players at the Rookie, Minors and Majors level as well as for coaches. The cost will be $25 per player, and the camp will take place at 48th & Woodland or the SE Elites facility if weather forces us indoors. More details to come!

REGISTRATION CAPS:

Last spring, for the first time, we had a substantial waitlist with players for whom spots never opened up. Thus, we encourage you to register early to secure your spot as we continue to face space constraints at 48th & Woodland. We are taking some steps to ensure that PAYSA continues to provide a high quality experience for our West Philadelphia community:

As we did last year, once again in 2024 we will be putting a hard cap on registrations, by level, and strictly adhering to a waitlist once we have reached that cap. Thus, we encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your spot(s).

DIVISIONS

This Spring, PAYSA In-House baseball will once again be divided into five (5) divisions based upon age and playing experience:

PeeWee - introductory baseball-style activities intended for players 3 and 4 years old. PeeWee teams meet once per week on Saturday morning.

TeeBall - introductory team-oriented tee-ball with practices and games intended for players 5 and 6 years old. Teeball teams practice one evening per week from 6pm to 7pm, and play one game per week on Saturdays.

Rookie - introductory team baseball with live hitting off of pitching machines intended for players 7 and 8 years old. Rookie teams practice one evening per week from 6pm to 7:30pm, and play one game per week on Friday evening or Saturday.

Minors - intermediate team baseball with live hitting off of pitching machines with introduction to kid pitching intended for players with some amount of baseball experience, for players 9 and 10 years old. Minors level teams practice one evening per week from 6pm to 7:30pm, and play one game per week on Friday evening or Saturday.

Majors - advance level of organized in-house baseball with the goal of transitioning players from hitting off of pitching machines and to player pitch, intended for players with advanced baseball experience, for players 11 and 12 years old. Majors level teams practice one evening per week from 7:15pm to 8:45pm, and play one game per week on Friday evening or Saturday.

The age cutoff date will be May 1st.

Practices will officially begin in the third week of March, and Opening Day will be Saturday, March 29th.
